Medication Reminders
Home Help of Binghamton will coordinate with families and health care aides to design a medication chart to ensure meds are taken on time and in the manner prescribed. We will work with families to decide who has the authority to administer drugs or organize pillboxes.
The chart will include:
- The name of the medications.
- Dosage(s).
- Time(s) of day medication should be taken.
- How medication is taken, whether with food and/or other medications.
- Any potential side effects.
Medication reminders can also be programmed into a phone or tablet with an alert. In order to make sure seniors take their medication on time with correct doses, we find that an alarm is very helpful, ensuring that nothing is missed or forgotten.
